Here are a couple of my favorite moments from the fitness inspired engagement shoot with Dan & Karna. The two of them love to work out and do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, so we decided to shoot a two-part session on the beach, to showcase that side of them. Despite the unusually gloomy overcast (it had been sunny all week), these two showed up with so much energy making the shots look so fun. Looking forward to the wedding!
UPDATE. I finished editing the video and the rest of the pictures from Manny & Jann’s wedding. The whole experience of shooting a wedding was completely new for me – I’ve never had to take and edit so many photos or hours of footage from one day! Though a very laborious task, seeing the end result and being able to capture and share these incredible moments with people has a such a rewarding emotional payoff.
If you haven’t seen it already, check out the engagement session I did with them earlier this year.
This week I took my Fuji XF1 for a little test drive at some of my favorite eateries. I know what you’re thinking. I’m not prejudice, I just really love asian food. The photos came out a little soft and noisy for my tastes, but then again maybe I shouldn’t be shooting wide-open. Regardless, I hope to get into the habit of bringing this thing around more, and learn how to use it properly.
On a more exciting note, I was finally able to reunite with my long lost love, Spicy Galbi Jjim– it’s been 4 years since I first had it in Daegu, Korea back in 2009. Thank you for the delicious memories!
